A longtime dream of mine was to have a Red
sports car with flip-up lights. A dream I never thought would be fulfilled.
Rex (my husband) had a Valet business and some
days I would ferry cars back and forwards to car dealers for him.This
particular fine and sunny Friday I had this little red MR2 to deliver.It was
quite sad as the car dealer was just around the corner and I didn't even get
into 4th gear. To cut a long story short, the MR2 was parked in my garage on
that Friday night. I spent a lot of time on toll calls trying to find if
there was an MR2 Club and thanks to Alan Dick of Radio Pacific I was
put on the right track.
My Mr 2 is an SW20, 1991, Factory fitted Alloy
wheels and painted red of course, and as you can see by the photo I have put
writing on the side of him.
I'm now the co-ordinator for BOP MR2 Owners Club
and are thoroughly enjoying it. I'm looking forward to many more runs and
meeting many more of you MR2 owners out there.
