Maintenance

Maintaining your MR2 is important - whether you do it yourself or take it to a garage. Costs of servicing can sometimes get quite high, and doing some jobs yourself may help keep costs down. Toyota produce an EXCELLENT manual for working on your car. They are very thorough and have pictures of every step. Following are some simple proceedures taken from the Toyota factory manual. If you find these helpful, then the manual would be an excellent investment. Manuals for normally-aspirated MR2s may be bought directly from your local Toyota dealer (although they may have to be ordered in). For Supercharged and Turbo models, manuals are available from the USA (since these cars were not sold new in NZ). The manuals are reasonably priced and are worth the money to get them if you like to work on your own car. If you are new to working on cars, don't worry. The manuals have step by step instructions and will teach you all you need to know about how your car works.

Please note: Since the numbers on these diagrams are important for those referring to this type of image, I have made the images size quite large so that you can actually read the numbers. So, they will take a while to download, and the images will be much larger than your screen, and you will need to scrol about them to get all the information you need. Thanks.
