Stock MR2 power Amp fault and how to repair it.

Post by Tronic »

Finally fixed the factory Amp. Did take me longer than 30 seconds in the end as I found out I had to strip it and completely resolder every joint.

If yours is cutting out on any channels and has a squeeling like feedback that stops when you tap the amp with a screwdriver it has the same problem.

The Amp is a great design with big heatsinks, nice and modular and comes appart easily.

Shouldn't think too many people out there are still using the factory set-up but thought i would post a thread anyway.
