Brake Master Cylinder change: adjustments necessary?

Post by ansys »

I recently upgraded to the 92+ brakes, and now I'm planning to change from the 7/8" MC to a 1" one from an unknown Toyota.

I plan to swap the reservoirs. I assume they'll be a direct swap? using the same grommets, etc?
(I've been looking through GDII / Phil's write up of his brake upgrade: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=9444&p=133370&hilit=Brakes#p133370)

Will I or should I adjust anything on the master cylinder, like the push rod depth or something? If so, how much and how?

There is no adjustment here. It's on the booster side of things. Bleed it first, bolt it in, add brake lines, bleed brake system and done.

The reservoir swaps over so you can still use the REV1 plug. Assuming the master wasn't from an MR2?
