Yea, I had replaced the speakers in the front with components, and put some 4in in the back.
The stock ones turned to dust too.
The subs were just floating cones lol.

Once I am done, it is going to be my daily. It's hard to organise our week with only one vehicle running.

I was happy enough with my sounds after replacement of fronts with components and the rear with larger 6" duals. Never really needed a sub.
Really helps to reduce road noise by insulating doors, rear speaker area and floor.

I have too many cars currently and need to downsize. Hardly drive the MR2 anymore.

I can say I didn't "need" a Sub, I wanted them lol.

The audio is fine without the subs going, but I wanted a little more.

All right, had a busy weekend taking things apart.
I got to the bypass pipe, managed to replace the o-ring.
Put everything back together.

And it still leaked... Wtf

So I got my mate to pop over with his inspection camera, and we both saw it leak from the gasket, and this was without starting the car.

Soo....

I see you have some internal 'assembly' lube available for use. Necessity on any MR2 work!

Yes Jim, unfortunately I needed a few bottles of the internal "assembly" lube.
Who knew that they are a requirement, maybe the bgb needs updating...

I got a set of Rockford Fosgate 5.25" components for $120 and the woofers are a direct bolt in to the factory boxes. Sold off the tweeters for $20 on FB marketplace.

Ok time for the latest.
On Friday night, I had enough of the leaking.

So, I pulled the pipe apart AGAIN. This time I was going all out, I got annoyed lol. I ended up using some RTV on either side of the gasket, then sandwiched them together. I carried on and re-assembled the rest of the engine bay and let it set for the night.

If you are wondering why I didn't remove the gasket, it is simply because there wasn't enough room to move the pipe far enough to clear the studs on the back of the WP. I wanted to remove the oil cooler, but I don't have any O-rings on hand for the cooler. So, I made a conscious decision to leave it.

This brings me to Saturday.

I pushed the car out of the garage so I could start the bleeding of the coolant. Damn that is a PITA. I must've had so much air in the system as it kept taking fluid for a while. I was starting it up periodically to help bleed it. I am still not 100% confidant that it has stopped leaking. I want to take it for a short drive around the block, but the weather is too crap at the moment. So, I am going to start it up, and let it run for a while in the garage (with the garage door open).

So, wish me luck.
I will update when I have an answer.

Ok. I am losing my mind with this car.

I started it up this morning and attempted to drive out of the garage. Made it halfway out, had a thought and found green coolant where it didn't belong. So, now I need to borrow my mate's camera again, and locate the leak. From a quick look with a mirror, I am led to believe that it is not leaking from the same location. But I can't be sure until I check with a camera.

I will add, I am open to suggestions regarding what I can do.
I wish I had more tools/gear to make it easier.

Plus side?? I am getting more fluent in foreign language now lol.

Get yourself a cheapy black light torch. Great for spotting coolant leaks, pet mishaps and doggy motel linin.
