Some helpful steps when creating a run, please follow in order to make sure you maximise your turnout!
1. Make a Plan with a description of what you will be doing and follow the below format. Any other details can be in a paragraph above or below
Where: E.G. Meet at Victoria park
Where to: 70km drive around the port hills finishing up at godley head carpark.
When: E.G. 10am leave at 10:30am 17 march 2020

2. Post event to Facebook social and advice page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mr2ocnzsocial
2. Create an awesome looking banner using the template photoshop file. (picture of an old run with current event details slapped on top)3. Share to related FB pages (MR2OCNZ, MR2OCNZ Social + Advice, Local Crew Group, Related car club groups)
1. Invite all your MR2 Mates

Share event again, closer to time, keep thread updated and let Communication Office + All Regions you notified of any major updates (especially if start date/time/location changes) - the Facebook event as well as the Forum event needs to be updated to show the changes

I'd like to add that I used to collect names and cell phone numbers of run attendees when they signed in before leaving the meeting point. (Handy if you lose anyone on the way). Then I would call or txt people a couple of weeks before the next run to ask if they wanted to come. A personal one-on-one gets a great response, can't beat it. Takes time but if you really want to have a blast and get a buzz from all those smiling faces (and make some new friends) it's well worth the effort.
